The Event
On Saturday 15 August we took over The Hook Club in Macclesfield for our Summer Social. Eighteen players, wood-fired pizza, a DJ and proper blue skies. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for more.
When we started Weekend Padel Club, this is exactly the kind of afternoon we had in mind. Good padel, good food and good people, with nobody taking it too seriously. Well, almost nobody. Things got very competitive towards the end.
The day
We kicked off at half twelve with a social tournament. New partners, new faces and plenty of rallies that went on far longer than they had any right to. Between games there was music, a lot of laughing and a few high fives that didn't quite connect.
Our rail was out too, so you could see (and try on) the latest WPC pieces. And then there was the pizza. Fresh out of the wood-fired oven and eaten in the sunshine between matches. Need we say more?
Our winners
A huge congratulations to our winners, who went home with brand new rackets from CPadel. Well played. And thank you to everyone who made them work for it.
