What does it actually take to start a padel clothing brand?
Six months ago, Weekend Padel Club was sketches on a notepad and a shared Google Doc at 11pm. Today, it's becoming a community of people who love padel, thoughtful design and weekends well spent.
So we wanted to take a moment to look back at the journey so far.
Six months ago
Weekend Padel Club only existed as sketches, notes and late-night conversations. Black or faded black? Vintage wash? Puff print or back print? Our first Weekend Padel Club Manchester design went through more versions than we'd like to admit.
Then we launched
We built our website. We launched our first collection. We packed our first orders. And we turned up to our first events with a rail full of clothes and a lot of excitement.
We kept creating
Every product has taken us one step closer to the brand we imagined. From our hoodies to our tees, caps and totes, each piece is designed and printed in Manchester in small batches, using heavyweight fabrics made to be worn long after the last game.
Our first collaboration
This summer we teamed up with Padel Pints on our first collaboration, a Weekend Padel Club x Padel Pints tee. Working with people who love the social side of padel as much as we do felt like the perfect place to start.
The best part wasn't the clothing
It was the people. Club owners, tournament organisers, charities, creators and thousands of players who've welcomed us into their sport. Days like our Summer Social at The Hook Club are exactly why we started.
